At the beginning of January, OnePlus will present its first concept smartphone at CES 2020 in Las Vegas, the OnePlus Concept One. So what can you expect under the term “concept smartphone”? The anticipated mid-range smartphone OnePlus 8 Lite will probably not be, with a concept you can look forward to something big.
Like the MWC, Mobile World Congress, the CES, Consumer Electronics Show, revolves around the latest technology and products for the end-user. The MWC is more clearly designed for smartphones and mobile devices, but the boundaries have become increasingly blurred in recent years. CES 2020 will take place in Las Vegas (USA, Nevada) from January 7th to 10th.
What will the OnePlus Concept One be?
The company's first concept smartphone is coming to its sixth birthday: OnePlus speaks cryptically of a career from “the development of unique flagship smartphones to the determination of the true potential of every technology” (from the press release from OnePlus). The first of those design changes is really with the casing and body of the device. In exploiting its McLaren partnership, OnePlus got the opportunity to utilize the equivalent "Papaya" leather found on McLaren seats on the rear of the Concept One and it's truly incredible glancing face to face. The subtleties in the sewing are lovely and the whole bundle feels fantastic in the hand. Not much has been said so far about what should really come with the OnePlus Concept One - so here are three theories:

What will smartphones look like in the future? Is more and more display with folding, folding and rolling concepts the solution? OnePlus wants new innovations in the smartphone industry. For this purpose, the company can build a prototype and present it to the media. Experience has shown that this causes a great stir in the media. However, the Samsung Galaxy Fold shows how much it really takes to be ready for series production, and the OnePlus Concept One as a pure test object currently seems most likely.
OnePlus Concept One. OnePlus 8 Lite
There is a lot of hype with the return to the affordable middle class from the renegade OnePlus fans. If it comes at all, a OnePlus 8 Lite will appear in between to boost sales. Then maybe based on the OnePlus 7 or 6T - there are certainly a few parts left - with an LCD IPS display and poorer processor. For a big event or the name Concept Smartphone, such a cheap offshoot is nothing.
